Black and White

This double-mask is a tribute to dark and light and to black and white - - a personal reckoning with the ways that “the other” within, and “the other” encountered in the world, are also a part of me. Full of contradictions, the band of tears looks like a knife, the mouth covering looks like a gaping hole, and while the crazed eyes gaze without seeing, perhaps they dream.
